Energy Beyond Matter

Spirit can be defined as “Energy that exists beyond Matter” It is the epitome of yang, in eastern philosophy, the arms of Ra and the wings of Helios.

In the Web of Planets and Elements, it is located in the region between fire and air and corresponds to the crown chakra. The Sun provides and emanates Spirit regardless of whether it is day or night. Spirit also emanates from Mercury, Jupiter, and Saturn, but only during the daytime.

In Alchemy, Spirit comprises the highest energy state- having maximum Heat, Reactivity and Entropy. Spirit raises the vibration of anything it interacts with.

• The synthesis of Spirit with Substance yields the planet Mercury.

• The synthesis of Spirit with Essence yields the planet Jupiter.

• The synthesis of Spirit with Matter yields the planet Saturn.

Spirit Parameter Effects

• High Spirit represents increased spiritual energy, higher vibrational state, greater potential for transformation. Could indicate periods of heightened inspiration, creativity, or metaphysical activity.

• Low Spirit represents spiritual contraction, introspective periods, potential for grounding or consolidation. May indicate times better suited for meditation or inner work rather than expansion.
